i was practically RAISED by this series. my sense of humor? my life philosophy? my favorite kinds of characters and tropes? all come from this. ask any of my friends what series i have made my personality and a good number of them would suggest gintama. i adore gintoki sakata to death and i will do anything for him, btw.

TRIGUN (1998)

LOVE!! AND!! PEACE!!!!!!!!!! the series that inspired me to be as kind and loving to people no matter what, later on in my life becoming a dear reminder of why i love people so much. trigun is incredibly important to me, and vash has changed my life for the better. i love maximum and stampede as well!

FATE/STAY NIGHT

media tends to change your life when you read the mat a vulnerable era. post carpal release surgery, i had a pretty tough time recovering due to the pain. i read and read and READ the f/sn vn to cope, even it's sequel, and i ended up loving it so so much. shirou emiya literally changed my life.

ONE PUNCH MAN

LITERALLY changed the trajectory of my art style forever. yusuke murata's art has influenced mine to a drastic degree, and OPM was honestly one of the initial influencers for my love for comics and manga. the impressive composition of the manga and murata's streams are so profound to me.

INNOCENT ROUGE

let's! get! obscure!! i am also applying this section to both the original and the sequel, because i deeply adore both. the incredibly complex art style of sakamoto, the harrowing but honest story of the sansons and commentary on family... it's got everything! i love it, but it's definitely not for the faint-hearted.

UMINEKO

"without love, the truth cannot be seen." the phrase that has influenced me most, something that just changes how you see things forever. umineko no naku koro ni is a deeply touching story about stories, and i cherish it so much. it took me 2 years to finish because i got so emotional over each episode too.
